Alast Najafi

Alast Najafi

Alast joined Hannah's team in July 2019 and is working on human rights, feminist foreign policy and the external dimension of climate change. She holds a master in human rights from the Université Saint Louis in Brussels and an LL.M in European Law from Leiden University.

Angelika Hild

Angelika Hild

Angelika is coordinating Hannah's communication and press work. Before joining the team, she worked in communications for two agencies and an NGO. Angelika holds a bachelor in European Studies and a Master in Communication and European Affairs. Besides her native German, Angelika speaks English, French, Spanish and some Dutch. In her free time, she takes lessons in classical singing and is active in a public speaking club.

Carsten Jürgens

Carsten Jürgensen

Carsten is responsible for foreign policy issues with a focus on security and defense policy. Carsten has worked almost 20 years as a researcher on the Middle East and North Africa in the International Secretariat of Amnesty International. In terms of geography, he has stayed true to the region – after all, he has lived in Middle Eastern countries for many years. A staunch Brussels resident, Carsten is a regular at jazz venues.

Felix Drath

Felix Drath

Felix is responsible for Hannah's office in Greifswald, coordinates her appointments in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania and organizes trips for school classes and citizens to Brussels. In addition to his work in Hannah's team, Felix is the district manager of the Greens in Rostock. Felix spends his free time mostly with his two little daughters, but he also enjoys crafting and is a passionate sailor – he even owns his own boat!

Jakob Wilke

Jakob Wilke

Jakob coordinates Hannah's Berlin appointments, maintains contact with the Bundestag, answers citizens' inquiries and represents Hannah during office hours in the Berlin office. Additionally, he regularly writes articles and analyses on Turkey and Kurdistan for Czech media.
Having grown up bilingually with German and Czech, Jakob also speaks English and Turkish and learns Arabic, Persian and Kurdish.

Justus Römeth

Justus Römeth

Justus' focus is on the optimisation of work processes and the entire office organization. Justus is a board member of the Brussels branch of the German Green Party. He has a bachelor's degree in history and business administration from the University of Amsterdam and a double master's degree in Euroculture from the JU Krakau and the University of Göttingen. In addition to German, Justus is fluent in English and Dutch and can speak basic Spanish, Polish, Czech and French.

Lennart Kleinschmidt

Lennart Kleinschmidt

Lennart holds a bachelor in European Studies from Maastricht university and has a background in filmmaking, where he collaborated in the production of award-winning short movies and documentaries. He works on image and video content for Hannah's website and Social Media channels – and he was heavily involved in the creation of Hannah's new website! Lennart speaks German, English and a bit of Dutch. Having spent one year in Mongolia at UNESCO, he also picked up some Mongol.
